Privacy Policy
How your information is handled when you visit this sanctuary — in plain language.
Profess Your Faith (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit professyourfaith.com, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to read the site. We may collect: (a) information you choose to send us, such as the email address you supply if you write to us to join the Sunday Letter; and (b) standard technical information collected automatically, such as your browser type, device, approximate location, and pages visited.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, to understand how the site is used, and — where applicable — to serve advertising. A cookie notice appears on your first visit. Analytics and advertising storage are switched off by default until you choose: the site uses Google Consent Mode, so if you select “Reject all”, analytics and advertising cookies are not set. You can also control or disable cookies in your browser settings.
Separately, the site stores a small amount of data locally in your browser — your theme preference, whether you have dismissed the cookie notice or the install prompt, and your consent choice. This never leaves your device. If you install the site as an app, a service worker also caches pages on your device so it works offline; you can clear both at any time through your browser’s site-data settings.
Analytics
We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics 4) to understand aggregate, anonymized usage — which pages are read and how visitors arrive. This helps us improve the sanctuary. Analytics data is not used to identify you personally.
Advertising
This site may display advertising, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
The Sunday Letter is a weekly email. This site has no server and no signup form that transmits your address anywhere: the subscribe button simply opens your own email application with a message ready to send to us. Nothing leaves your device unless you press send, and your address is never passed to a third-party mailing service. We use it only to send the Letter, and you can leave at any time by replying to any issue. If you email us for any other reason, we use your message only to reply to you.
Third-party services and embeds
Some pages embed third-party content, such as the Spotify player (for Treblelation) and links to our merchandise shop. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Data retention and security
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, and we take reasonable measures to protect it. The site is served over HTTPS.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
